How it works:

  1. Non-Profit joins Steward in Agency agreement
  2. Landing page built on existing website of Non-Profit (this creates a link to be used in all marketing efforts)
  3. Donor gives

    1. Donor begins process by accessing landing page on your website and completing the donation form
      1. Steward and Non-Profit both notified via email
      2. Steward collects and gives donor information to Non-Profit
    2. Car donation converted to cash
      1. Steward coordinates transportation and receiving of vehicle into auction for sale
      2. Vehicle is sold and necessary title paperwork is completed (no additional work for Non-Profit). Keeping Non-Profit out of title chain.
    3. Sale Processed
      1. Custom spreadsheet to break down all fees and donation information necessary for IRS reporting for your donor provided to Non-Profit from Steward.
      2. Non-Profit is responsible for reporting donation to IRS and providing donor with all necessary documents to claim their charitable deduction.
    4. Non-Profit Receives Proceeds
      1. Net recoverable amount paid from auction to Steward-Steward pays Non-Profit 85% of net recoverable amount (complete disclosure of all fees direct from wholesaler-original paperwork from auction provided on each transaction-transparency)

Car donated and sent to auction. Car sells for $550.00 (this is the amount the donor claims on their taxes). Fees are deducted to obtain the net recoverable amount.

NOTE: In this example your Non-Profit receives $229.50, gained a new donor/constituent and increased your marketing footprint without committing any of your current resources. All of the necessary steps were performed by Steward on your behalf freeing up your staff to focus on executing your mission; at the same time opening a new revenue source for your mission fulfillment.

* $125.00 transportation fee is the minimum fee. Actual transportation fee can vary based on distance traveled and type of vehicle being picked up.
